MHS Ski Club Still Going Strong

Dylan Kennedy, Staff Writer

Ski club has been going on for years here at Manchester High School (MHS). I think that it is a really good club to have here at MHS because not everyone here is into winter sports. So with ski club you go every Wednesday right after school to Ski Sundown in New Hartford. You are there until about 8:00 just skiing or snowboarding with your friends. The good part about ski club is if you have never skied or snowboarded before you are allowed to take lessons. They are really short, they are only have 30 minutes. They basically just teach you the basics and teach you how to go up and down the mountain without falling. All the jumps and rails you have to teach yourself. When you are there you do not have to ski or snowboard the whole time. You can hang out in the lodge, grab some food, or you can go out and just shred with all your friends. I definitely think it is worth it.
