On that Friday evening, The white house was illuminated in rainbow colors for an achievement of gay rights. The significance of this event portrays the hard-work of those that fought for gay americans in the United States. It is also symbolizes the acceptance of americans of diverse people.Sexual orientation and gender identity are integral aspects of ourselves and should never lead to discrimination or abuse. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in America face discrimination in their daily lives. A majority of states allow discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations.
